Available Guinea Pigs

Adoption Policy »
  1. Before applying, review the page about appropriate CAGES (click here) . It is very important to us that your guinea pig has a proper size cage!
  2. We do NOT SHIP guinea pigs. You must be able to come to us for the adoption.
  3. We do NOT ADOPT to minors. Heads-of-household only can apply to adopt. Please do not apply to adopt if you are a minor living with your parents.
  4. We do NOT ADOPT to people who have other pets living outdoors (with the exception of horses and other farm animals).
  5. Review important guinea pig DIET information: What to Feed Your Guinea Pig.
  6. We have a "pairs policy". If you own a guinea pig, we are happy to help you find a compatible friend amongst ours. If you don't own a guinea pig, you may adopt a bonded pair or create a pair from our single guinea pigs. When you don't already own a guinea pig, we highly recommend adopting one of our bonded pairs - that way you know you have a pair that gets along, and won't run the risk of them not getting along once you get them home.

Fees »

Fees as of Jan 1, 2019

  • $65 per neutered male guinea pig
  • $80 per spayed female guinea pig
  • $110 for bonded pairs (Pairs listed on the site together)
  • Unlike some other rescue groups, all of our guinea pigs are spayed/neutered and have been to a vet for a checkup prior to adoption. While the adoption fee helps to cover some of the vet costs, our expenses far exceed the adoption fees. Click Here to see why we feel that spaying/neutering our guinea pigs is so important. Not only does it control the guinea pig population, there are definite health benefits.
  • A contract must be signed at adoption time

Notice about adopting female guinea pigs:There is currently a higher demand for spayed, female guinea pigs than availability. There may be up to a two month waiting period after submitting an application. We are limited by which guinea pigs are available in the local shelters and availability of foster homes. We appreciate your patience when adopting.

    Name:Bren
    Sex:Male
    Type: White / Gray Points/Himalayan
    Age: 1 Year
    Altered:Neutered

Bren is a very sweet and quiet pig who has the old soul of a gentleman pig that is very fastidious about his surroundings. He keeps his cage sparkling clean and will poop mostly in the hay bin at a corner. He will even push his hay out of the way so the hay is not soiled, Bren is the prefect pig for fleece bedding. Bren is still quite shy having come from far away Wisconsin but he will sometimes stand and allow himself to be scratched. He loves to have his head and ears scratched and sometimes doze off in bliss. He loves snuggling in his fleece tunnel and fleece hiddy home but seems to like company as well as he lies just on the other side of the cage where a girl pig is housed. He looks at her wistfully but alas she is not interested in him, he needs to find a piggy girlfriend who adores him. Bren is learning to eat veggies and loves fresh wheatgrass and corn. Bren likes to listen to music during the day and especially appreciates classical music which he popcorns to in the morning.

(lay-LON-nee) People think my sisters and I look too similar to tell apart. Well, I am obviously the cutest one but you can also find me by my matching eye patches and perfect white blaze.

I may look like my siblings but we don't get along well enough to stay together! Some of us may live together right now but we can't be adopted together. I need a friend I like much, much more!

  •

    Name:Clark
    Sex:Male
    Type: Tri-Color Mostly black/Silkie
    Age: 1 Year , 6 Months
    Altered:Neutered

Take a look at my tresses! Wouldn't you love to run your fingers through my beautiful hair while we watch TV together at night? I can see us now all comfy and cozy, you, me and a sweet girly pig to keep me company when you aren't around. I love lap time in my fleece bag and running free and exploring with my foster mom's cats because I'm so lonely for another pig to play with. But I gotta warn you about my long hair--I get touchy if it gets pulled, and I'd prefer to have it trimmed so it doesn't get messy. In other words, I'm high maintenance and am not the pig for a household with children. If you think you'd like to care for my tresses, fill out an application today.

  •

    Name:Satchel (Paige)
    Sex:Male
    Type: Black & Red/Abbyssinian
    Age: 5 Months
    Altered:Neutered

Satchel is an energetic and fun young boy who is happily spending his days running and chasing with other young boys while he waits for his forever home. Like all pigs his age he isn't a fan of being held or lap time but with good socialization (and as he gets older and settles down) he will come to enjoy it. Young pigs need steady hands and a lot of patience. Satchel would love to meet a nice girl and have a loving forever family to call his own!

  •

    Name:Licorice
    Sex:Male
    Type: Black/Abbyssinian
    Age: 4 Months
    Altered:Neutered

Like all young guinea pigs Licorice would rather run and play than sit quietly and snuggle. With time and lots of people interaction he will learn to love lap time too! He is on the more nervous side so he needs steady and firm hands so he is safe while being handled. He has been sharing a cage with other little boys to keep each other company but he will be even happier with a girl piggie and forever home to spend his life with.

I do like to race around so keep an eye on me. Fill out an application today. I'll be waiting.
